Meet your pet sitter and business owner, Dasha Ott!

My first cat was a kitten named “Pokey” that I fostered and then adopted from Hinsdale Humane Society. Pokey introduced me to pet ownership and the animal sheltering world. Pokey was known for knocking items off the nightstand to wake me up for breakfast and for smelling the roses in the garden. It is thanks to Pokey that I have a deep appreciation for cats and the amazing friendship they offer to us, their guardians.

Founded in 2010, Dasha’s Pet Sitting Service evolved out of my previous work as a veterinary assistant for a cat only veterinary clinic. Clients asked if I would pet sit their cats while they were out of town on business or vacation. The skills and education that I gained at the veterinary clinic transferred over into my pet sitting business. I also gained experience working with dogs in shelters, kennels, grooming shops, and veterinary hospitals. 

I love caring for your pets and treat them like I do my own three kitties. I understand that your pet is your beautiful and unique baby. It is my pleasure to offer you peace of mind when you leave your pets in my care. I count it as a wonderful privilege to be entrusted with the daily care of your pets.

Dasha’s Pet Sitting Service is happy to announce that Stella Ott joined our team as a pet sitter! Stella is Dasha’s mom and she helps take care of Dasha’s cats while she is out pet sitting! She is also a loving Grandma to her six grandkids.
