Dasha's Pet Sitting began

the story

From animal care work to trusted home visits.

Dasha Ott started Dasha's Pet Sitting Service in 2010 while working full time at a cat-only clinic, where she managed the front office and spent each day around feline patients and their people.

The business became full time in 2017. Since then, families have trusted Dasha with pets, keys, alarm codes, food bowls, litter boxes, medication schedules, and all the small home details that make travel less stressful.

The goal is steady and simple: cats and dogs stay home, their routines stay familiar, and owners get a clear update after every visit.

2010

Started part time

Dasha began pet sitting alongside her work at a cat-only clinic.

2017

Became full time

The business grew into full-time in-home pet care for local families.

Now

Built to grow carefully

The service is ready to serve more households while keeping the same careful standards for pets, homes, and updates.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Whenever I go away for more than a couple of days I can always know that my furbabies are in great hands. Dasha makes sure every day that my kitties have plenty of water and clean litter boxes until she comes in the next day. She’s attentive to my kitties and makes sure she spends time with them... giving them pets and playing with them. She is honest and let’s me know when/if she notices something not right. To anyone seeking a pet sitting service I recommend Dasha’s Pet sitting Service.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Over the years, Dasha has been my vet tech, cat groomer, pet sitter, and all around cat question answerer. When one of my girls was terminal last summer, she stopped by to visit and give her a quick look and give me advice. Dasha is very thorough. Sets up home visit before to meet you and cats and go over any special needs/ concerns. One of my boys is special needs. She medicates and keeps a close eye on him. She goes above and beyond. There is no one else I would entrust my cats to. Highly recommend.

experience matters

Professional animal background, practical home care.

Dasha's experience spans clinical, shelter, boarding, grooming, and emergency settings. That background shapes how each visit is handled.

Deep cat knowledge

Cats are small predators that know they can also be prey. Dasha reads feline body language, respects hiding cats, and gives shy cats room to decide.

Formal animal training

Dasha has a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Iowa State University, plus professional experience in animal care settings.

Emergency-aware care

Pet First Aid + CPR certification and emergency vet assistant experience help Dasha notice details that matter during in-home visits.

how we work

Care that stays grounded in the routine.

Every household is different, but the standards stay consistent.

Cats get time and space.

Some cats greet at the door. Some watch from under the bed. Dasha follows their lead and keeps the visit calm.

Dogs get practical support.

Dogs are welcome for Vacation Pet Care and Dog Walks when the schedule, leash behavior, and household needs are a good fit.

Homes get checked.

Lights, mail, doors, alarms, food bowls, litter boxes, and schedules are part of the job because the pets live in the home.
